Hello everyone, and welcome to the Age of Empires Community.
As the owner of the forums, it's my primary goal that I can create a friendly, enjoyable experience for as many people as possible; to do so, I need the help of everyone else. So here are a few simplistic rules that, when followed, will allow for a brilliant community.
1. No flaming
This is the most simple rule and it essentially goes without saying.
If somebody posts a topic, and you don't necessarily agree with their opinion, getting frustrated at them and calling them names and just making them feel unwelcome is not going to solve anything - but it will get you on the staff's naughty list.
2. No double posting
Whenever I'm browsing the forums, I can't stand it when the same user posts more than once in a row, when they've forgotten to say something in their original post. That is what the edit button is for. If you're trying to bump your own thread, then at least wait 24 hours before doing so.
3. One account per person
Don't try and adopt a multiple persona's here. The staff are equipped with incredibly handy pieces of technology, and we will find you; and ban you instantly.
4. No pornography, images or content which could be considered offensive
We'll try our best to keep these forums family friendly, this means if you've got something that could be considered offensive, then try not to post it. Minor language isn't going to be moderated heavily, but don't go around swearing unnecessarily.
That's essentially it. I'm sure I'll update this thread as the need arises but hopefully we'll have a user-base of people who are filled with common knowledge. =]
Enjoy
